Martyn Woods is a visual artist living in South London UK
His artworks are rendered to a high quality of finish with clean lines and strong colour in his semi representational style. He often incorporates patterns and abstract geometric forms along with figures to explore his philosophical inquiry. Works are in ink on paper, oil and acrylic canvas paintings, and sometimes digital.
Insight
Although I really enjoy drawing and painting actual things, like people and plants and buildings, I also like to explore abstraction through pattern, colour and texture.I have a blind minds eye known as aphantasia where I cannot generate images in my head therefore for me imagination is a conceptual abyss.
